Charles Randolph says that he regularly watches the news of the Covid-19 pandemic and is very worried about the people most at risk.
"I see in the news that high-risk patients are people with underlying medical conditions like heart disease and asthma," says Mitch Randolph.
As soon as he heard the news, the boy was very worried because his family with an uncle who needed a heart transplant was also among those at risk. Especially in the context of the current shortage of medical devices, Mitch Randolph came up with a special idea.
Using his parents’ 3D printer, Mitch Randolph tinkered to create a mask that could be used in public places.
The masks are made by Mitch Randolph.
The boy said it took about 90 minutes and cost about 1 USD to make a mask. At the beginning, it was also difficult, but Mitch Randolph now produces more and is eager to donate the number of masks he can make to the anti-epidemic doctors.
Mitch Randolph says that the masks he makes may be impervious to the doctors and nurses who treat Covid-19 patients. But at least, it might help Mitch Randolph’s uncle
Prior to the idea of creating a Covid-19 anti-epidemic 3D mask, Randolph only made toys on 3D printers and participated in enrichment classes on how to use the technology.
